TRAGEDY AT LAIPUITLANG, AIZAWL.

I FEEL DEEPLY TRAUMATIZED THIS MORNING TO HEAR ABOUT THE LANDSLIDE AT LAIPUITLANG, AIZAWL, MIZORAM. I DO THINK THAT IT IS APPROPRIATE TO BLOG ABOUT THIS TRAGEDY.

WHEN I LEARNED THAT ONE OF THE MZU (MIZORAM UNIVERSITY) STUDENTS WAS A VICTIM, I FELT LIKE MY UNIVERSITY FAMILY MEMBER HAS BEEN TAKEN AWAY FROM US WHICH MADE ME SO SAD. THE WHOLE MORNING, I HAVE BEEN SHEDDING TEARS OF SORROW.

I PRAY THAT THE DECEASED ONES WILL FIND PEACE IN GOD AND THAT THE WOUNDED ONES WILL BE HEALED SOON. I PRAY FOR THE RELATIVES AND LOVED ONES OF THOSE VICTIMS AND I DO HOPE THAT THEY WILL FIND SOLACE IN GOD.

"When I woke up this morning..I heard the terrible news that more than 10 people have lost their lives due to the horrible Landslide tragedy in Aizawl,Mizoram which occured around 3 AM this morning...:-( and according to different sources Cyclone O1B is going to hit different States in the North-East by Saturday evening...I shudder to think what major calamity it would bring and what sort of havoc it would wreak in its aftermath....I feel for the deceased families, for their loss of a loved one,for the loss of their home....I count my blessings that its not me or anyone of my extended family back home however the Pain is there for people who have lost their lives in such a tragic way :-( I request all my FB friends around the world to pray for my home town AIZAWL and specially for the people who have suffered, for their families and for the RESCUE TEAM(s) who are doing their best to save lives...GOD HAVE MERCY ON US!!!!!!!!!!"

MY CREATIONS FOR THE OPENING OF HERITAGE LOUNGE, FALKLAND AIZAWL, MIZORAM, INDIA. ON THE 20TH OF APRIL 2013. SECOND SHOW

The Second round was a bit messed up but I'll share some pics anyway... The eye make-up becomes more sexier than the first round. The pretty little dresses in black and white were a part of the night itself as the models walked out.

MY CREATIONS FOR THE OPENING OF HERITAGE LOUNGE, FALKLAND AIZAWL, MIZORAM, INDIA. ON THE 20TH OF APRIL 2013. FIRST SHOW

And so I had tried my hands on Designing Clothes for a show, more particularly for the Grand Opening of Heritage Lounge at Falkland in the city of Aizawl, Mizoram. The first round was all about Black and Pink. My inspiration was Mesopotamia meets the Middle East. Easy flowing materials have been used. And my tailors stitched them well. Six models were used and six dresses were created by me.

The owners of the place, Ruth Hrangchal and Andrew, were so good with their warmth and welcoming spirits. They know exactly how to organise events or how to keep the party flame going. They simply ROCK!

And for the make-up, I used liquid eye-liner to define the eye in a more dramatic and Egyptian-like manner. However, this eye-make-up style do not really go alongwith Asian eyes. But I tried it anyway and I still think that it looks really cool.

This piece is my favorite and I put so much thought in it. I think its elegant as well as sophisticated, poise, and couture-like.
