Luke 2:7 and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths.... (NIV)
Luke 2:12 This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger." (NIV)
Baby Jesus was "wrapped in cloths" as seen from the BIBLE. This cloth represents you and me. It means Jesus bore our whole selves which was a sin-ridden self. We are full of lies because of the fall of man in the garden of eden.
Isaiah 1:5-7 ... Your whole head is injured, your whole heart afflicted. From the sole of your foot to the top of your head there is no soundness— only wounds and welts and open sores, not cleansed or bandaged or soothed with olive oil. Your country is desolate, your cities burned with fire; your fields are being stripped by foreigners right before you, laid waste as when overthrown by strangers.
Isaiah 53:4 "Surely he took up our pain and bore our suffering..."
Colossians 1:16 For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him.
Jesus was 100% human as well as 100% God when he came to the world.
John 1:29 The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him and said, "Look, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!
Luke 24:12 Peter, however, got up and ran to the tomb. Bending over, he saw the
"strips of linen"
lying by themselves, and he went away, wondering to himself what had happened.
The "cloths" that was used to cover baby Jesus and the "strips of linen" left inside the tomb of Jesus represents our whole selves.
Christ strips himself of the humanly self at the cross and was resurrected to life after three days with his Godly self and thus sit on the right hand side of His Father's throne in heaven.
Our old self (humanly self) including our identity as homosexuals was crucified and buried so that God may not be able to see anymore of our sins and transgressions... He now sees us as Christ who is the truth, the way and the life. This is the good news.. this is the truth about the BIBLE...
