CHAPCHAR KUT IS A FESTIVAL FOR MIZO PEOPLE IN MIZORAM, ONE OF THE NORTH EASTERN STATES IN INDIA. IT HAS BEEN CELEBRATED BY THE MIZO PEOPLE FOR ALMOST 2 CENTURIES. AND THIS YEAR'S CHAPCHAR KUT HAS SEEN PHOTOGRAPHERS WHO ARE SO GOOD WITH THEIR LENSES AND I COULD NOT HELP BUT STEAL THESE PHOTOGRAPHS FROM A RENOWNED GROUP ON FACEBOOK AND I THOUGHT OF POSTING IT ON MY BLOG SO THAT EVERYONE OF YOU MAY BE ABLE TO SEE THEM.
ALL THE PICTURES DO NOT BELONG TO ME BUT I HAVE GIVEN COURTESY TO THE NAMES OF THE PHOTOGRAPHERS IN ACCORDANCE WITH THEIR FACEBOOK PROFILE NAME. IF IT IS AGAINST THE PHOTOGRAPHERS' WILL, I WILL GLADLY REMOVE THEM FROM MY BLOG.

I love this picture because there is a connection here between the old and the new. It tells such a beautiful tale. The traditional dresses and the modern day shoes are but something that still go together really well. Pic by Bsa Sailo. |
